We’ve been UFOing it up!
We have been on the look out for UFO’s this week. This week we were given a project called UFO which stand for Understanding the Faiths of Others. We were spilt into 2 teams Boys verses the Girls. We had to use our initiative to find out different facts and information about the different faiths. We went out an about into the different parts of the community within Plymouth and studied different faiths. The fatih’s we had to study were: Us girls had Jehovah Witnesses & Buddhism. UFO (Understanding the Faiths of Others) project This last week we took part in a project that allowed us to study in detail other religious beliefs. Jamie and I researched Buddhism and Jehovah witnesses and Alex and Sammy researched Islam and Mormonism. Over the week we researched our chosen faiths and conducted interviews with those involved in them. We were able to visit their places of worship and witness some of their traditional practices. South West Equipping and Training (SWEAT) is a Christian run leadership training school based in Plymouth. With a focus on character development we offer a one year accredited course for people over 18 who want to further develop their leadership skills. Our heart is to bring people to the South West to train and for them to return to their places of work, churches and families as strong leaders with solid characters.
