Orientation – week 2 – Team building

Wow! What an introduction to S.W.E.A.T! We set off in the bus to Trencreek, near Camelford on Sunday afternoon, full of excitement and nervous intrepidation! When we arrived we met up with the Y.O.T. guys and gals from Maidstone and were given our room allocations. We were woken up “early” for our first session of Physical Training and boy did we train! Hey everyone my first SWEAT blog is going to be about the second week of orientation so if you haven’t already you could take a look Bernie’s blog, which is on ‘hell week’ the first week of orientation, to get some context. So I will take you through three of the activities of this week. Well, here is my 1st Blog. We actually started orientation in September. After a short journey into darkest Cornwall, we met up with our fellow students from Maidstone. On the Monday at 3am it started. We were awakened to be outside in 10mins – like good Christians we were. As the eldest on the course, and with a few medical problems I was not allowed to do too much physical exercise, but I was allowed to carry a tyre. I got attached to it in the end. With a focus on character development we offer a one year accredited course for people over 18 who want to further develop their leadership skills.
