Men and Fire
On Wednesday the men of the group had a real good day. We were asked to help do some tidying up on a farm. For Josh and me having been involved in farming this was a real treat. I love looking round farms, as I reminisce from the days when I worked on a dairy farm on the Isle of Wight. When we got there we had a walk around two of the fields and had a prayer time. Then in true builder style we cracked open the flask and had a coffee. Then when the owner arrived we had a look around at all the tasks that needed to be done. As we walked into one of the stores there were a few animal...

We arrived in Doncaster at about 11:00 in time for Luke and Abi to greet us at Langold Community Church just outside Doncaster. The team was really quite peckish by this point so we were all thankful to see that Luke and Abi put on a fantastic lunch spread for us. So in preparation we helped Luke and Abi out to sort out everything that was needed for the evenings meeting. The meeting itself was amazing! And on that evening about a dozen people from the community became Christians...

But while we were up there we did’nt just go to the conference we also spent time with the Maidstone students integrating into their team and doing all the things that they had to do. One of the things happening at the time...

In February 2010 we had a trip to South Africa, where we learnt dance and drama and also spent some time with some orphans. It was a really amazing 4 weeks where we met a lot of friends at another training centre called TICs. While on mission we spent some great time with the kids. We spent time with babies changing nappies, time with toddlers, and half a day with primary school aged boys and girls. They loved playing football and cricket, and playing hide and seek. They were a real bunch of fun.
