Explorers Kids Club: Ocean Adventure 2012

Hello, After much planning we’ve spent the last week actually running Explorers Kids Club: Ocean Adventure. I think we’ve had more fun than the children. I even got to dress up as Brown Beard (or pink beard as the children say) the Pirate. Each day we started off by singing our theme song with the actions. Then we performed a short drama based around a mini  theme like ‘helpfulness’. In one drama Olly the Octopus got stuck in the seaweed and his friends had to help him get free. Kids Club Prep

Excitement is building in the house everyday as Kids Club gets closer. This week has been dedicated to Kids Club prep and we are currently frantically painting, drawing and creating props for our Jungle decor as well as fitting in all our last minute tasks. We have come up with a changing decor day by day for the week so each day, something new will be added to the Decor. The decor will also reflect our theme for each day with a picture of the main character from our daily drama  and the theme stuck on above the character. We have recently had a Jungle themed night where we performed our...

Kids Club and Time Out

Recently we began planning for one of our community events which will be SWEAT’s first ever February half term Kids Club. We, as students, have the opportunity to plan and run a half term kids club which will run for 5 days from 9:30 – 12 with a prize giving morning on the Saturday where each child who attended will receive a free prize. We’ve been busy coming up with a theme, advertising ideas, leaflets and posters. We’ve been very busy but we are all learning about time management and growing our capacities and, most importantly, putting into practice what we learnt in our master...
