Isle Of Wight Mission
Once upon a time in the SWEAT house Travis and Alex decided that it would be a really good idea to go to the Isle of Wight on a mission to bring kingdom to the places known as Catalyst youth club and Roots kids club on the island. Catalyst is a youth event run by Youth for Christ. Catalyst is a worship event for people ages 13-18 years old, its been running for over 10 years, and it is on once a month on a friday night. During this last week we have begun working on our drama performances in the evenings which we will be performing locally, nationally and worldwide during the next year. Some pieces that we have been taught are from last year but because we are different students with different personalities the pieces are portrayed in our own unique style. We have also begun working on our own devised piece which is hilarious and has an amazingly powerful message to give to anyone who may be blessed enough to watch it. It has been so much fun!!! South West Equipping and Training (SWEAT) is a Christian run leadership training school based in Plymouth. With a focus on character development we offer a one year accredited course for people over 18 who want to further develop their leadership skills. Our heart is to bring people to the South West to train and for them to return to their places of work, churches and families as strong leaders with solid characters.
