Men and Fire
On Wednesday the men of the group had a real good day. We were asked to help do some tidying up on a farm. For Josh and me having been involved in farming this was a real treat. I love looking round farms, as I reminisce from the days when I worked on a dairy farm on the Isle of Wight. When we got there we had a walk around two of the fields and had a prayer time. Hello there, It is the second week into term. I thought that last week was a good way to start off the term, it was face your fears week . On Thursday it was Allie’s birthday! Face your fears is a week of overcoming our fears, whatever they may be, it was different for each of us. Thursday we had a surprise lecture down at Living Well Church. When we got there we were greeted by Jen Wolf who informed us our lecture was on disability awareness. This started with trying on safety glasses that had been blanked out or changed to give the different effect of blindness and eye conditions. The tunnel vision one was the hardest one to use, the set of glasses I had were blanked out one side and very misted out on the other. Once upon a time in the SWEAT house Travis and Alex decided that it would be a really good idea to go to the Isle of Wight on a mission to bring kingdom to the places known as Catalyst youth club and Roots kids club on the island. Catalyst is a youth event run by Youth for Christ. Catalyst is a worship event for people ages 13-18 years old, its been running for over 10 years, and it is on once a month on a friday night.
