Hi

This isn’t just my first SWEAT blog but it’s my first ever blog!

My first blog should be a good one because I get to write about week two of orientation! If you haven’t checked out Allie’s post about ‘Hell Week’ then make sure you do!

It was a great week of team building. We joined our new friends from ‘Year of training‘ (Jubilee training centre in Maidstone). It was exciting not knowing what we were going to be doing each day. It was fun-filled week with too many activities to mention.

I’ll tell you my favourites.

We had to roll around in the mud by the riverbank. It was fun having a mud fight with the other guys. I think it’s safe to say that we’ll ever be that dirty again!! (Don’t worry Mum if you’re reading this, I’ve had a shower now :-P ). It was pretty cold at the end so we were glad to climb the ladder out of the water.

I thought I was going to be scared the day we went cliff jumping and I wasn’t wrong. I was stood at the top of the seven metre drop holding on to Mark for dear life contemplating the plunge when I decided to go for it. He was afraid I was going to pull him in with me. Shame I didn’t.

The main thing everyone remembers is the day where we were each chained to four other people for about fourteen hours for different challenges. Team names included ‘Off the Chain’ to ‘Wilberforce’. Many renditions of ‘My Chains Fell off my heart was free’. We definitely got to know each other a lot better after that day!

All in all it was a good week. :)
