Hi Everyone,
This is my first ever SWEAT blog, well In fact my first ever blog!! This week we have been testing our energy levels in lots of different tasks.
The first one of the week was pushing a bed with a huge teddy on it around Plymouth town centre, for charity. One of our house mates HelenApplebee (who did SWEAT last year) belongs to Mutley Baptist church who are raising money for their youth to go to Mexico to build houses for people who are less fortunate than ourselves. They had to walk it for 100 miles in 24 hours, we helped them by doing 2 of the 24 hours and we manged to push the bed 7 miles. We started at 8am and finished at 10am.
One day this week we walked from Saltram House to Living Well. It was about 1 and 1/2 miles long. While we were walking along we were praying for different things that we came across. Some examples were: for the school children on their way to school, the passers by we came across and the people in the houses and cars we passed.
LECTURES AT THE LAKEYS HOUSE!
For a change of scenery in our lecture time, we were privileged to go to Steve and Sarah’s house. It was lovely for them to let us into their house while they were not there to do our lectures. Their house was beautifully laid out and had good themes to the whole house.
BYE for now!!
