We have been on the look out for UFO’s this week. This week we were given a project called UFO which stand for Understanding the Faiths of Others. We were spilt into 2 teams Boys verses the Girls. We had to use our initiative to find out different facts and information about the different faiths. Hello, After much planning we’ve spent the last week actually running Explorers Kids Club: Ocean Adventure. I think we’ve had more fun than the children. I even got to dress up as Brown Beard (or pink beard as the children say) the Pirate. Each day we started off by singing our theme song with the actions. Then we performed a short drama based around a mini theme like ‘helpfulness’. In one drama Olly the Octopus got stuck in the seaweed and his friends had to help him get free. Saturday night saw the launch of Illuminate 2012. It is going to be headed up by Mark and for the launch he organised a Karaoke nite with nibbles which was great fun. After belting out songs such as “It’s raining men” and “I will walk 10,000 miles” we got down to business to find out who was running each section of Illuminate. On Wednesday we came into the lecture armed with notebooks ready for note taking, to be met by Clare telling us it was going to be a practical lesson today. The aim was to get us to be more confident in front of people when talking and to be aware when standing in front of people of our mannerisms.
