Messy Hands plus Paint plus Kids Decoration Preparation plus Musical instruments equals…More messy hands…? It’s been a busy week for theExplorer’s kids club Team, as we have been busy, busy, busy with drawing, painting, cutting and pasting animals that will be ready for the decoration preparation on Sunday. This week has been a wonderful and creative experience. Early on in the week we went to Plymouth Music Zone and experienced a range of samba and unusual instruments. Saturday night saw the launch of Illuminate 2012. It is going to be headed up by Mark and for the launch he organised a Karaoke nite with nibbles which was great fun. After belting out songs such as “It’s raining men” and “I will walk 10,000 miles” we got down to business to find out who was running each section of Illuminate. I’m running the acts and programme section, so I’m going to have to get my thinking cap on in order to find some really good acts for the event! Please email me if you’re interested in performing at this years event...

On Wednesday we came into the lecture armed with notebooks ready for note taking, to be met by Clare telling us it was going to be a practical lesson today. It is so good to be back and I’m so excited to see what God is going to do in me and the other Sweaties this term. To start off on the first day we had SWEAT games. As you can see on the picture me and Taylor with the winning prize, the glorious golden sink plunger, which was smithed by Travis in the depths of the SWEAT house. This week we have been learning how to manage our time in our personal lives and in a management position. And...

The Amazing Race is a TV program which inspired this weeks activities. We did our own SWEAT Amazing Race over three days. We were split into two teams. Every day each team was given a clue to start off with and once we’d worked it out we went to where the clue led us and met one of the leaders who gave us the next clue. The first day we had to run around our local area of Plymstock and The Barbican. Here’s a picture of our team outside the famous Dolphin pub. The second day was a cycling challenge. On that day we went all around Plympton on a treasure hunt. The fun...
